I purchased a Red Ryder BB Gun made by Daisy just before a vacation in the Ozarks back in March of this year. I have three boys ages 8, 7,and 5. The goal was to give them a heavily supervised introduction to BB gun shooting. We shot at plastic milk jugs and cans. Following the enclosed instructions for sighting the gun revealed a wildly inaccurate gun. You had to literally aim five to six inches to the right of the target in order to hit it center. In addition, the plastic site falls easily off the top of the gun and was lost in the grass withing a few hours. Finally, the finish on the stock amounts to a poorly sealed stain job that was worn down to bare wood within a couple of days. If this is a product that Daisy intends for young boys, then they should have made a gun of quality parts and workmanship. I do not for a second believe this modern bb gun resembles in any way the model on which it purpotes to copy itself. Don’t waste your money or disappoint your child with this cheaply made piece of junk!

This is a pretty good gun abd is farely acurate but doesn’t shoot all the times. I have had it it for about 4 years and it hasn’t broke or jammed yet so it’s pretty sturdy. This is a good gun for beginers.

This is my first BB gun so I think its really cool. Almost every nite i go coon hunting with my two coonhounds in the ozark mountains. I can even shoot them coons couple a times and then my dogs finish them off. I’ve gotten 15 squirrels and 12 coons thanks to my trusty red ryder!

This gun is powerful and pretty acurate and is easy to cock and load. The only reason I made it 3 stars is that sometimes it doesn’t shoot. I have had it for about 4 year and it still hasen’t broke or jammed so it’s pretty sturdy. I recomend this gun to begginers
