I recently purchased a Remington 700 5R .308 and equipped it with a Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20 x 50mm LR/T scope. The scope is mounted on a NightForce one piece 20 MOA short action base and NightForce Rings. NightForce recommends that you tighten their rings to 68 inch/lbs but I think it is just a gimmick to get you to buy something that they sell. The Leupold Mark 4 Torque Wrench is set to 65 inch/lbs and I believe it will hold just fine. Both the Leupold and the NightForce torque wrenches are made by Seekonk so there is no difference in quality. Another reason to go with the 65 inch/lbs torque wrench is if you ever need to switch out stocks, most are set to the 65 inch/lbs recommendation.
