I love the optic quality on this scope. clear and good focus. A little too bright but I can deal with it. Im not going to war so I dont need to shoot at night. The design on this scope is terrible. I’m not sure what they were thinking when they designed the dial and c-clamp for mounting on the carry handle, but there is an easier way to do it, ive seen several other brands that have the screw that goes straight through the carry handle and have a tension clamp underneath the carry handle. Mine rattled loose without firing a bullet, just from plaing with my charging handle. I used some blue locktite and that fixed the problem. However when I got to the range the elevation did not work. I was able to zero the windage perfectly, but the scope optics or angle seems to be off for some reason, I’d like to send it back but im pretty sure Im going to damage it trying to get it off becasue after it’s locktite with the crappy dial design is very hard to grab. I think Im stuck with this scope and wasted 110 dollars. I’m going to try another, exept im going for the rail mounted version, it seems to have a more secure attachment method and detach method. My advice to all interested in this scope is to get the other mounting system and get a rail that goes into your carry handle, this model sucks for the carry handle, or buy a flat top rifle, they are much more versatile, i have both a flat top and a carry handle and I can’t find anyone willing to buy my carry handle!!

Would I love to have an ACOG? You bet. But frankly, if I had an extra grand to spend I’d probably buy another rifle. The NCStar does a nice job at a good price. The optic is clear and the reticle is sharp. I haven’t had a chance to zero it at the range but it dialed easily to the dot thrown by my laser bore sight.

I thought I was having a problem with this scope. I contacted Ncstar customer service and they replaced it quickly. It turns out it was the rife not the scope. But it showed me Ncstar will stand behind there products. After rife fix. Zeroed quickly; Two inch groups at 100 yards. I’m going to shoot at 500 yards this weekend; I’ll let you know if the yardage compensator works. The lighted radical works well in low light. I really like this little scope.
Finally shot at longer ranges. The yardage compensator works perfect. I really like this scope.
